HMS Music Spotlight
Halloween 2015

We are just a day before Halloween, so that means day 6 is in the books too. What better way to celebrate this day than to showcase a special song created by horror author Dan Weatherer and his cohorts. Collectively they have recorded a little ditty in honour of the Ghoultide and I know everyone who is into music will dig this number.

The song in question is called Maude and it is a novelty horror record done by some swell lads known as the Dead Certs. The song has been receiving lots of attention for Dan and his pals, especially regarding the amount of airtime it is getting on radio in the UK, and we here at HMS are very happy to be a part of the festivities.

Maude is a fun 70’s throwback, with witty lyrics by Dan; reminding me of another humorous song that appeared in the horror movie The Lair of the White Worm – The D’Ampton Worm performed by Emilo Perez Machado and Stephen Powys. It would be so great if the song Maude could get featured in a horror movie someday and perhaps with some exposure from HMS it just might happen!

As for the details of the song: hear how a man's desire for his Zombie wife knows no bounds in this humorous tale of love after death!

I want to thank the Dead Certs (Compton McDonald, Jude Cann Hunt and Dan Weatherer) for sharing this with HMS.

Check out The Dead Certs here and Dan Weatherer's website here!
