VIDEO OF THE WEEK

The latest EP from the Californian born rockers Lords Of Ruin is nothing but big, heavy hitting riffs and even bigger choruses that take the listener straight to a head banging state of mind. The new EP titled “Life is a war” is bound to get any fan of straight up old school hard rock excited.

Life is a war is a throwback to what hard rock should be. No fancy effects, no “studio magic” just five guys that bring solid riffs, catchy hooks and choruses that the listener will have stuck in their head soon as the song finishes. The 5 track EP starts with the song “New Life” which sets the tone for the rest of the album, forget what’s happened in the past, live for the moment and have fun doing it.

The track that sticks out the most in my opinion is “Welcome to the Last Time” the song is nothing but 4 minutes of head banging hard rock. The tone of the guitars with the killer drum sound backed by the groovy bass line all come together when the vocalist comes in and builds into a sound that can’t be made by a computer. You can tell that they put it all into their playing and it comes through in the music. Lords Of Ruin came to put their life experiences into the music and many people will relate to the lyrical content and feel of the album.

The EP doesn’t let up. Every track has its own personality that all fit in with the tone and sound of the EP that tie it together, and will certainly impress fans of straight up hard rock. If you like good catchy heavy hitting riffs that don’t need fancy tricks to draw the listener in I would definitely recommend checking out the latest from Lords Of Ruin.
