Show Notes:
Episode Sixty-One: Celebrates yet another landmark crossover thrash act with Suicidal Tendencies fifth studio album. Lights...Camera...Revolution! Proved to be a defining genre release because it included funk elements thanks to the addition of new bassist Robert Trujillo (now with Metallica). The standout single, "You Can't Bring Me Down" received much airplay on MTV and was the reason for the album's large success.
Lights...Camera...Revolution, would also be nominated for a Grammy but ultimately lost out to Metallica's cover of Stone Cold Crazy (Queen). The album did go on to top most charts and was considered a success by most music critics. It was noted how the album moved into a more traditional thrash style, becoming a very popular release with the noted playing styles of both Rocky George and Mike Clark.
Fun Facts: The album artwork was a photo taken at the Vista Theatre Los Feliz, California. It featured all the band members standing above the sign. The photo shows, Mike, R.J. and Robert standing on the sign, while Mike Muir and Rocky stand at the top right window of the building.
