The Return of Atrophy: An Interview with Brian Zimmerman

Interview by Kenneth Gallant

There is some exciting times in thrash metal happening right now. We are just finishing up the second month of 2024 and already new material from Morbid Saint, F.K.U. and Dust Bolt have dropped. With March approaching (in just two days) another batch of thrashers are ready to blitz our ears.

On March 15th, brand new Atrophy drops courtesy of Massacre Records and we are mega‑stoked for this new release. We have heard the new record and let's just say this is going to be killer. Call it a comeback record if you will, but the album packs nine new songs bristling with fresh riffs and a mega chug to boot.

The new album is entitled Asylum and we were given an opportunity to sit down and chat with the main man of Atrophy vocalist Brian Zimmerman. The chat allowed us to dig deep into the history of the band and find out how this third album came into existence.

Check out our zoom interview right here.
